The reality is that building a business or an entrepreneurial life is a slow and steady process. But we should approach it as a marathon, rather than a sprint. To do this, you must lay a solid foundation before you build a small or large empire. So, if you feel overwhelmed, are no longer creative and are struggling to pursue your business dreams, you may be suffering from the symptoms of burnout syndrome. Read on! This article may help you overcome it.

First of all… What is burnout syndrome?

Burnout syndrome is the extinction of a person’s motivation or incentive towards his or her work or any other activity he  performs.

Burnout syndrome is a syndrome that is related to depleted emotional, physical and cognitive energies. These manifest themselves in emotional and physical exhaustion, cynical attitudes and feelings of personal ineffectiveness and incompetence. The combination of being burned out can originate from excessive work-related stress. As a result, 9% of employees say that because of this situation, they are to some extent disengaged in their work.

But you are not alone! Many of us have experienced burnout at work at some time or another. And we certainly know that it can be a real nightmare. However, it’s important to know that if you neglect those emotions, something worse could be unleashed and you may not notice it until it’s too late.

Have you ever experienced burnout syndrome in life or at work?

Well, whether you have or haven’t, here are 7 tips to help you overcome it – pay close attention!

1.Find time for yourself and take continuous breaks.

How many times have you heard this advice? A lot, right! Well, there’s a reason for it. We all need rest and recovery time. To control burnout syndrome we need time away from our jobs or business. You can think about a nap, and it’s okay to take a 10-minute power nap. But, essentially, you need a schedule that allows you to have your own time, within a certain framework. One that focuses solely on recharging your batteries. Remember, life and business will go on if you take 5 to 60 minutes away every day to recharge. In fact, taking time to rest increases productivity and creativity.

Work for an hour, take a five-minute break. Continue these cycles throughout the day. I totally understand how some people may think that taking frequent breaks is counterproductive. But, they are the main way to achieve more output by achieving relaxation and a sigh of relief to continue. Both content creators and business owners tend to sit hunched over, typing incorrectly on their keyboards while straining to look at a monitor. This is undoubtedly a symptom of burnout syndrome.

2.Use the ChVmpion Mind platform and structure:

You will have a positive impact on different levels of your company and, in addition, on your personal environment.

Work productivity, performance measurement, physical and mental health are just some of the benefits of this programme. It encompasses the following aspects:

3.Move your body for physical health

Walking, jogging or playing a sport is essential to be more productive. If walking is a challenge, think about small accomplishments and movement. If walking is not an option, think about cycling movements with your legs or arms, arm circles in both directions and static “walking”. For all writers and content creators as well as workers in companies who are trying to avoid and overcome burnout syndrome and who feel stuck in their chairs all day it is very important to exercise. Movement helps to drain the tensions accumulated during long work sessions.

4.Meditation for mental health:

There are numerous research studies that support meditation as a beneficial daily practice to improve health, thus avoiding burnout syndrome. Many articles support the practice of meditation for 5 to 30 minutes per day. ChVmpion Mind encourages you to apply positive habits in your daily life.

As José. L. Meléndez; CEO and co-founder of ChVmpion Mind says:

“If someone wants to practice meditation on a daily basis, they shouldn’t think about doing it, but sit down and do it. And then, think about what you did, what went well and what you would need to continue practising”.

5.Put an end to disorganisation

When you have a never-ending list of tasks to do, it makes everything more overwhelming. Which, in turn, clutters your mind and makes it harder to concentrate. Plus, you tend to work on the tasks that aren’t the most important. Meanwhile, you allow everything to fall into a state of disorganisation and feed the burnout syndrome. This cycle must be broken, starting with making a conscious effort to get and stay organised. This includes your files, your computer and your desk. It’s about creating procedures that make things easier and more automatic, reducing distractions.

6.Try block scheduling

Block scheduling works wonders for many people. It’s when you schedule your day in blocks and stick to them. A well-structured flow chart of your activities could keep you more organised and avoid burnout syndrome. The key to this strategy is to stick to the schedule and move on to the next activity, even if you want to continue what you are doing. You may want to set alarms that indicate when each task is coming up to keep you on track. This method is one of the best ways to be more efficient with your time and make sure you complete the things that always seem to be left for tomorrow.

7.Mindfulness

Take some time every day to check in with yourself. Ask yourself: How do I feel internally? How does my body feel? How do I feel about achieving my purpose? After answering any of these questions, find out what you need to do to fill that area of yourself. Sometimes, you may need to take the day off or a couple of hours. But, paying full attention to your own emotions can help you spot the red flags that indicate you may be suffering from burnout syndrome.
