Recognize great work:

One of the most important factors contributing to employees’ work motivation is the frequency with which their hard work is recognized. Most employees say that motivation and morale would greatly improve with more recognition from managers. Moreover, the statistics don’t lie. 77% of workers say they would be more involved in their work if they felt their achievements were recognized.

After all, if an employee produces exceptional results, but their hard work is not recognized, why would they continue to be a high performer? But it’s not only important to recognize great work, it’s important to know how to do it. How a team’s contributions are recognized has a significant impact. Employee recognition should not just be financial, for example, an annual bonus at the end of the year. It should also be recognized in a meaningful and frequent way; through promotions, incentives, promotions, among others.

Set small, measurable goals:

We’ve all had projects that drag on and seem to never end. This can be demoralizing and frustrating. The feeling of being stuck in a rut prevents you from seeing how you have made visible progress. Achieving goals and measuring accomplishments feels comforting and certainly helps with motivation at work. Employee happiness is much more closely related to the interpersonal relationships they establish with their colleagues at work; even beyond those that may arise in other circles. It must be understood that one of the variants that increases motivation at work is the presence of peers, therefore, encouraging teamwork seems a logical move when it comes to motivation.

Sharing positive results

It is easier to achieve success when you can imagine it. This technique is a truthful one for improving the state of motivation at work. Employees need to feel secure enough to perform fully and effectively in their jobs. Motivation at work may depend on it. Many psychological theories suggest that there is a hierarchy of basic needs that people need to satisfy before they can be motivated to reach their full potential. Safety is only one level below physiological needs such as food and water. Once employees feel secure, they are more likely to be motivated to reach and expand their potential even further.
